1 Person Killed In Armstrong Co. Motorcycle Crash
GILPIN TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- One person is dead following a motorcycle crash Friday morning in Armstrong County.
According to PennDOT, the crash happened along State Route 66 in Gilpin Township.
Investigators say 55-year-old Ronald Mego, of Leechburg, was driving his 2001 Harley Davidson around 6:30 a.m. when he veered off the road, hit a utility pole and fire hydrant and was thrown off of his motorcycle.
PennDOT closed down the road in both directions between Airport Road in Gilpin Township and Grant Street in Leechburg for investigation and cleanup. It has since reopened.

Mego died at the scene.
