Police Investigating Armed Robbery Of Bloomfield Business
BLOOMFIELD (KDKA) -- Police are investigating an armed robbery in Bloomfield.
The incident happened Thursday at the Rite Aid on Howley Street. The call came in around 8:20 p.m.
The robber was wearing a ski mask.
Pittsburgh Public Safety officials say he demanded money, indicated that he had a gun and then grabbed money and ran away.
"I had just left, and I came back five minutes later, and the police were all around the place," said Karen Miller. "I couldn't even get in."
No arrests have been made.
Police are investigating a string of robberies over the past week.
Thursday night's incident was the second in Bloomfield. The Mia Pizza was robbed on Monday morning.
There were two robberies in Dormont as well. Police believe the same suspect is responsible for both of those robberies.
There were also robberies in Shaler Township, Turtle Creek and Crafton Heights.
Police do not believe that all of the robberies are related.
There is surveillance video from the robbery in Turtle Creek that shows a different suspect from the robberies in Dormont.
