Area 4-1-Zoo: Big East Votes To Expand
With seemingly every conference attempting to expand, the Big East has joined the masses.
Big East presidents voted in a meeting Tuesday to expand from eight to 10 members.
Now it's all speculation on which teams will be invited and eventually join the Big East.
Rumors have already surfaced surrounding TCU. Some have reported that the Horned Frogs have already received an invite and it's just a matter of whether they want to join or not.
Villanova has been mentioned as a top target as well. The Wildcats are already a basketball member and the football program is one of the top powers in the FCS.
Other schools rumored to join the Big East have been Memphis, UCF, Temple and Houston. Others are surely in the mix.
After more research, I've posted a piece on my thoughts on who will likely join the Big East and how all the players fare. You can read it here.
