Local Burglar Found Wearing Homeowner's Pajamas

SHENANGO TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A man wanted for trashing a local home and destroying thousands of dollars worth of antiques and valuable paintings was arrested wearing only pajama bottoms -- pajama bottoms that belonged to the homeowner.

Police in Shenango Township, Lawrence County, say 30-year-old Eugene Courson II of New Castle broke into the Alborn Avenue home Wednesday night and then entered another home down the street.

The property owner there, Jason Hooks, tells KDKA's Kym Gable he heard a noise in the laundry room.

"So I get up to go check it out, took the flashlight with me. In the laundry room, there's this guy, looking at me. I told him to get out."

Hooks called police, who caught up with Courson. After further questioning, they connected him to the first burglary.

Officer Vince Martwinski says Courson was wearing stolen pajamas and had left his cell phone at the scene.
