Annual Parade To Honor Veterans
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - There is plenty going on in Pittsburgh today to mark Veterans Day.
The city's annual Veterans Day parade began at 10:30 a.m.
It stepped off from the Civic Arena, traveled down Fifth Avenue to Wood Street, turned onto the Boulevard of the Allies and ended at Commonwealth Place.
There is also free admission today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum in Oakland.
Meanwhile, because of the holiday, all city, county, state and federal government offices are closed, as well as courts, banks and post offices.
However, the Port Authority is operating on a regular schedule, but some routes will be detoured because of the parade. Garbage will be picked up as usual.
Stay with KDKA for the latest details.
