PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Allegheny County Police are hoping the public can help in the search for a Dravosburg woman who has been missing for a month.
Heather Short, 46, of Dravosburg, was last seen around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
"On Nov. 6, Heather Short was reported missing to the McKeesport Police. Her last residence was in Dravosburg. The McKeesport Police initiated an investigation, and ultimately, turned it over to the Allegheny County Police. The investigation is ongoing. We have interviewed a lot of her friends and family," said Allegheny County Police Lt. Andrew Schurman.
Police say Short was visiting friends at a home on 3rd Street in West Mifflin at the time, and then vanished.
Short is described as a white woman who is about 6-feet tall, weighs about 170 pounds, has short blond hair and wears glasses. She has a tattoo on the side of her neck that says "Lynn."
Her family says she walks with a limp on her right leg because she's had more than 70 surgeries on her hip, including a hip replacement, due to a childhood illness. She sometimes uses crutches.
Police say Short also has drug dependency issues.
They are pleading with the public for help.
"I just want to plead with anyone and everyone to call the police with any information you have," said her mother Valerie Graham. "Our daughter disappeared over a month ago, and she had none of her personal belongings, her phone, her car, everything. She's just gone. Everything was left where she was at a friend's. I'm just hopeful that we find her one way or another, we need some closure."

At the time of her disappearance, police said she was known to frequent the McKeesport, West Mifflin, Glassport and Dravosburg areas.
"She's a fighter. She wouldn't just disappear and leave her three kids, or us," said Graham.
Allegheny County Police are asking anyone who knows Short's whereabouts to give them a call.
"We're asking that anyone who has heard from or seen or knows about Heather, those last days she was in West Mifflin, to call to call the Allegheny County Police TipLine at 1-833-ALL-TIPS," said Lt. Schurman.
