Allegheny Co. Health Dept.: 58 Active Cases Of Coronavirus In The County, 2 Deaths
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Allegheny County Health Department says there are now 58 active cases of COVID-19 in the county and two deaths.
There have been two coronavirus-related deaths in the county, with the second one announced this morning. The patient is an adult in their late 70s who had not been hospitalized.
Of the 58 active cases, six are currently hospitalized.
Yesterday, Gov. Tom Wolf issued a stay-at-home order for the hardest-hit counties, including Allegheny. The order went into effect at 8 p.m. Monday night and will last for at least two weeks. Gov. Wolf says county residents must stay in their homes, unless a life is in danger.

The Allegheny County Health Department has said based on what's happening in other states and countries, the number of cases is expected to increase as testing increases.
They've also said an estimated 40 to 60 percent of county residents infected with COVID-19.
They estimate that among those infected, about 80 percent will not need any medical attention and will get better on their own.
