Allegheny Co. Homicide Detectives Investigating Unrelated Deaths Of 2 Children Within A Week
WEST VIEW (KDKA) -- Allegheny County homicide detectives are looking into the circumstances surrounding the deaths of two small children in unrelated incidents.
Most recently, a 5-week-old baby girl from West View died Thursday night at UPMC Children's Hospital, just days after she was transported there by ambulance.
The child, Braelyn Swidorsky, was found not breathing at her Martsolf Avenue home.
An autopsy on the girl Friday afternoon was inconclusive, and there's no information on the infant's cause and manner of death.
Neighbors told KDKA-TV's Ralph Iannotti that West View Police came to their doors earlier this week asking questions about Swidorsky's family, and if they were aware of any problems with the couple recently.
In an unrelated investigation, county homicide detectives are still at a loss to say how a 3-year-old Wilkinsburg girl died earlier this week.
The body of Adrionna Williams of Wilkinsburg was found last Sunday evening in a shallow ravine in Swissvale by a woman walking her dog.
Investigators say they do not believe Williams died where her body was found, and she couldn't have walked the distance from her home to the spot where she was found.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner says it may take weeks or longer for toxicology and other test results to come back from a lab.
