Alleged Moon Carjacker To Stand Trial
MOON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A man accused of a crime spree in Stowe Township and Moon is headed to trial.
Police say 30-year-old Joseph Manna already faces charges in Stowe Township for allegedly stabbing two people and stealing a pick-up truck.
He allegedly rammed the pick-up truck into two cars, injuring two women in Moon Township on Jan. 15.
Police say he then abandoned the truck and carjacked a third vehicle.
"He said he was out of gas, asked her to use the phone and made a couple phone calls on her phone and after the second call, he pulled her out of the vehicle and stole her vehicle and fled the scene," Moon Township Police Capt. Jeff Seamon said.
After the carjacking, he allegedly fled to West Virginia where he went to a hospital. He was treated for a cut on his hand.
Someone at the hospital recognized his face from a picture on TV and called police. He was arrested at a homeless shelter.
