Alleged Jewelry Thief Arrested After Hawking Goods To Gold Dealer
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The man accused of stealing troves of jewelry and other items from several local homes was arrested Tuesday.
McKees Rocks Police say 30-year-old Michael King of McKees Rocks, stole jewelry and tools from two McKees Rocks homes and tried to sell the items to a Robinson Township gold dealer.
Police then obtained a warrant and searched King's home, where they found more jewelry, insurance policy papers and more tools that were reported stolen from neighboring houses.
Inside King's home, police say they also found a substantial amount of heroin.
King is charged on multiple counts, including burglary, receiving stolen property and possession with intent to distribute heroin.
