All Water Restrictions Lifted In Armstrong Co.
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Officials have lifted all water restrictions and advisories for areas in Armstrong County.
Last week, officials with Pennsylvania American Water issued a "do not use" water warning due to elevated pH levels caused by malfunctioning equipment at a water treatment plant.
Affected areas included Kittanning and Applewold boroughs, as well as parts of Manor and Rayburn townships.
Just before the weekend, officials dropped the "do not use" advisory, but urged residents to boil all water before drinking it or cooking with it.
Officials say after collection samples taken Saturday and Sunday, they found acceptable bacteria test results.
