7-Year-Old Not Hurt After Van Hits Pole
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Authorities are investigating after they say a 7-year-old got behind the wheel of a van and ended up side-swiping a telephone pole in Lawrence County.
It happened around 9 p.m. in the 800-block of Pollack Avenue in New Castle.
The boy wasn't hurt, and there was minimal damage to the pole and van.
But police want to know how he ended up behind the wheel. CYS is also involved.
Meanwhile, a 6-year-old was taken to Children's Hospital after he was hit by a car in Pittsburgh's Garfield section.
The accident happened around 8 p.m. in the 5100-block of Dearborn Street.
The driver did stay on the scene.
There is no word on the boy's condition.
