7-Eleven Robbed In Ross Township
ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Police are investigating a Tuesday evening armed robbery at a 7-Eleven in Ross Township.
According to police, a masked man robbed the store on Thompson Run Road around 8:30 p.m.
The suspect showed the clerk a gun and got away with some cash.
Detective Brian Kohlhepp said 7-Eleven trains their employees on how to react in these situations.
"The employee was able to act calmly and oblige the robber with his demands and remain unharmed," he said. "It is brazen. This is a busy road, this is a busy store, people in and out all the time."
No customers were inside the store when the robbery happened.
Police say there is surveillance video of the robber and plan to release it Wednesday.
