5 Escaped Exotic Animals In Ohio To Be Returned To Owner
ZANESVILLE, Ohio (KDKA) – Some of the exotic animals that escaped from a wildlife preserve in Ohio last October will be returned to their owner.
The State Agriculture Department announced that two leopards, two primates and a bear will be returned to Marian Thompson.
More than four-dozen exotic animals got loose after Thompson's husband, Terry, freed them before shooting himself.
He was reportedly known to police who received complaint calls about the animal farm. Thompson had also spent a year in prison on federal firearms violations.
Authorities were forced to kill nearly 50 of the animals.
The surviving animals were being held at the Columbus Zoo and it is not clear when they will returned to Thompson.
