4-Vehicle Crash Ties Up Parkway East Traffic
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Emergency crews were called to a four-vehicle accident Thursday evening on the Parkway East.
According to emergency officials, the crash happened just before 10:20 p.m. near the Edgewood-Swissvale exit.
The accident tied up traffic on the inbound side of the roadway.
Officials say crews were blocking traffic in both lanes so emergency workers could get through.
Authorities say woman in labor got caught in the traffic mess. A doctor and paramedics were able to get to her.
Two people involved in the accident were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
