4-1-Zoo: Tray Woodall, J.J. Moore To Undergo Surgery

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Junior point guard Tray Woodall and sophomore small forward J.J. Moore will undergo respective surgeries Friday morning.

Woodall will be having sports hernia surgery. He strained his groin and tore his abdominal section in November against Duquesne. It forced Woodall to miss over a month's time, and when he returned he was never quite the same.

Woodall is expected to make a full recovery and he should be ready to return to the court in 2-3 months.

Moore is having surgery on his right foot and is expected to make a full recovery as well. He will be out of commission for three months.

Moore was arguably Pitt's best player down the stretch. He averaged 11.8 points per game in the final 13 games of the season.

"We expect that Tray and J.J. will be 100 percent and back on the court with their teammates when fall practice begins in late August," Pitt head coach Jamie Dixon said in a statement.
