30-Foot Deep Sinkhole Appears Near Penn Hills High School
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Penn Hills students had to circumvent a narrow, but deep sinkhole Friday.
District officials say they found out Friday morning that a sinkhole had developed near the new Senior High School building on Collins Drive.
The sinkhole is said to be on the south side of the building, about 10 feet away and is seven feet in circumference and 30 feet deep.
Officials say the blocked off the area and that the construction manager said it just needs to be back filled.
