2 Killed In Route 422 Crash

SUMMIT TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Two people are dead following a multi-vehicle crash in Butler County Wednesday evening.

The accident happened on Route 422 in Summit Township near Bonniebrook Road.

Authorities say one car crossed the center line and hit another car. One of the cars went airborne and hit two other vehicles.

The two people who died were drivers of separate cars.

Part of Route 422 was closed for hours on Wednesday evening, but has since reopened.

A firefighter on the scene says this is one of the worst accidents he's seen in years.
