3 Arrested In Connection With Marshall-Shadeland Home Invasion
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Police made quick arrests after a home invasion in the city's Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood Sunday night.
According to police, the incident happened around 9:25 p.m. in the 1100-block of Smithon Avenue.
Police said at least three men stormed into the house. One was wearing a gray, hooded-sweatshirt and a white mask. Another was wearing a red sweatshirt with a bandana covering his face.
One of the victims told police that a suspect forced him to the ground and put what he described as a, "machine gun," to his head.
Another suspect showed a black handgun.
The suspects asked the first victim, "Where are the bricks, where's the money?"
They took about $20 in cash from the first victim before rushing into a bedroom, where a woman and her two young granddaughters ran to hide.
The suspects searched the room and even flipped over a mattress as the children watched.
Then, the suspects ransacked the kitchen area as another victim hid in an adjacent bathroom. They searched her phone, telling her they would kill her if she had called the police.
They left with about $80 in cash from the young woman's purse, but the suspects didn't get far.
Police arrested 16-year-old Brent Simms and another juvenile at the intersection of Grand and Elreno. Police charged them as adults with robbery, burglary and criminal conspiracy.
Edmond Hardy Jr., 19, was also arrested at a house in the 900-block of Smithton Avenue/ He is facing the same charges as the other two suspects.
A fourth man- 20-year-old Jayme Ordean is charged with hindering the apprehension of a suspect for allegedly allowing one of the suspects to hide in his house.
All of the suspects were taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
