3 Arrested For Alleged Prostitution Out Of North Hills Spa

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – An alleged prostitution ring was broken up Tuesday in the North Hills.

Three women were arrested at a massage parlor – and it sounds a lot like the recent arrests at another local spa.

The latest alleged brothel to be shut down is the Tokyo Massage Spa in the 2300-block of Babcock Boulevard.
The women range in age from 29 to 49 years old.

"We sent an undercover officer into the establishment and he was able to make arrangements with two of the women for a paid sex act," said Det. Brain Kohlhepp with Ross Township Police. "And after he made the arrangement, he notified officers who were waiting outside."

Jamil Goudlock operates a car wash and auto detailing business across the street from the spa in the busy commercial stretch of Babcock Boulevard.

"It's not good for the community, it's not good for any of these businesses around here," he said. "So, if that's what was occurring there, it's Ross Police doing a great job."

Police say the raid turned up evidence that the building contained quarters for the three women arrested.

"It appeared as if the women were living there, as part of the investigation, officers found evidence they were staying there," Kohlhepp said, "The township is taking action to cancel their occupancy permit."

A few months ago, police raided a similar spa in Bridgeville and arrested three Korean-American women on prostitution related charges.

At the time, they said the women were not only working in the building, but living there as well.

Among the items confiscated were surveillance cameras and massage tables.
