3 Arrested After Westmoreland Co. Murder, 1 Still Sought
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police have arrested three people in conjunction with a murder in Westmoreland County Saturday afternoon.
Police say have arrested Danielle Clawson, Tiffany Blatternberger and Jesus Santiago after finding 24-year-old Michael Volk of Florence dead of multiple gunshot wounds.
Volk was found in a trailer off of Stone Quarry Road in Derry Township.
Police say Volk had conspired with Clawson, Blatternberger and Santiago to rob a man believed to go by the name "Mitch," who is the prime suspect in the murder.
"Mitch" is described as a black male with dreadlocks, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180-200 pounds, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and Oakland Raiders skull cap. He also has a chipped front tooth.
Residents of the small, quaint town said they were surprised to hear of a murder in the area, but police said they believed it was an isolated incident.
"It wasn't just somebody running around rampant in the neighborhood," State Police Trooper Steve Limani said. "We don't believe that took place."
Clawson, Blatternberger and Santiago are in the Westmoreland County Jail on charges of conspiracy to commit criminal homicide and robbery.
Police are asking anyone with information to call them at the Greensburg Barracks at 724-832-3288.
