2nd Suspect Arrested In Deadly Penn Hills Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Police have made a second arrest in connection with a murder outside the Penn Hills McDonald's last week.

Allegheny County police arrested Darien Clark at his family's East End home around 9:30 a.m.

Police have identified Clark as the second person involved in the shooting death of Dalyn Jones, 18. Jones died following a shooting in the parking lot of the crowded fast food restaurant on August 24th.

Clark is being held in the Allegheny County Jail on charges including criminal homicide, criminal conspiracy, robbery and recklessly endangering another person.

Last Friday, Akeem Willie, 15, surrendered to authorities.

Willie, of Homewood, is facing charges of criminal homicide, robbery, endangering the welfare of another person and weapons charges. His preliminary hearing was postponed until next week.

Investigators said footage captured by surveillance cameras in the McDonald's parking lot proved to be key in identifying the suspects.
One of the cameras reportedly showed two people entering the car which Jones was a passenger; moments later, the pair emerged from the vehicle while shooting the victim.

One of those people is alleged to be Willie; but police did not identify the other person at the time.

Authorities said they believe Jones' death was the result of a pre-arranged drug deal that ended in gunfire.
