2 Women To Surrender In Bizarre Aliquippa Kidnapping Case
ALIQUIPPA (KDKA) -- Two women charged in connection with a bizarre kidnapping caper in Beaver County will surrender Friday, according to Aliquippa Police.
Charged are 29-year-old Andrea McFarland and 34-year-old Danielle Jackson.
Police say the two women, along with Andrea's sister, Savanna McFarland, drove from Pittsburgh to Aliquippa one day last June because police said Savanna wanted to snatch up her 4-year-old daughter from the child's foster parents.
Aliquippa Police Det. Sgt. Steven Roberts told KDKA-TV's Ralph Iannotti: "Savanna followed someone into the foster parent's home and went through the door before it could be closed. She then grabbed the 4-year-old and started to leave, but they stopped her with the child before she got out."
Det. Sgt. Roberts said Savanna and the foster parents then got into a fight outside the home.
Det. Sgt. Roberts said a lawyer from Pittsburgh contacted him Thursday evening and said that Andrea McFarland and Jackson would surrender Friday.
There's no word on Savanna's whereabouts.
All three women face kidnapping related charges.
