2 Teenagers Charged With Rape In Monroeville
MONROEVILLE (KDKA) -- A rape investigation in Monroeville led to the arrest of two teenagers.
One is in jail and the other is in the Shuman Detention Center.
Natale Kirkland, 18, is charged with false imprisonment, rape and conspiracy.
Monroeville police say he and a 14-year-old boy allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl in the laundry room at the Cambridge Square Apartments.
The younger boy met the girl at Gateway Senior High School earlier this week as she was walking to homeroom.
He went to the apartment and sent a text message to Kirkland.
The three of them smoked marijuana and went to the laundry room where the girl was allegedly held against her will and raped.
School officials say they've been cooperating with police.
They alerted police to the alleged sex assault after the girl reported the incident school administrators earlier this week.
