2 Suspects Sought After Using Stolen Credit Card At Walmart
GREENSBURG (KDKA) – Police are asking for the public's help to locate two suspects accused of using a stolen credit card in Westmoreland County.
According to state police, the victim left her purse on the trunk of her vehicle and drove away on May 29.
"She had a bunch of items. She took her purse, set it on her car and drove away," said Trooper Steve Limani, of Pennsylvania State Police.
The woman quickly realized what she had done, but was unable to find the purse.
Within 30 minutes, a male was spotted pumping gas into a pickup truck at the Sheetz in Youngwood.
The next day, a man and woman made six purchases at the Walmart in Greensburg, which totaled $546.
"They went on a shopping spree at Walmart where they made six different purchases," said Trooper Limani.
The suspects were seen driving an older model Chevrolet Malibu, which was missing the front passenger side hub cap cover.
A second case involves a Derry Township woman who got ripped off. The suspects were caught on surveillance video at the North Versailles Walmart.
"They were able to obtain the person's debit car information from an unknown source, and then went on a shopping spree," said Trooper Limani. "They went to Wendy's and had lunch on our victim."
The suspect in the North Versailles crime is believed to be driving a gold-colored, older Ford Explorer.
Anyone with information on either of these cases is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police in Greensburg.
