2 Suspects Sought After Armed Robbery In Pitcairn
PITCAIRN (KDKA) -- Allegheny County Police are looking for two suspects after an armed robbery in Pitcairn.
It happened at the Pitcairn Mini Market in the 400-block of Wall Avenue.
The suspects, described as black males in their late teens or early 20's, wore gloves. One had on a hat while the other wore a hood.
One of the robbers pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded all the money she had. No shots were fired.
The same store was broken into last December by a burglar who stole lottery tickets, cash and cigarettes.
Sheila Taylor, who lives in the neighborhood, said she doesn't feel safe anymore.
"I get off work, I come home and their robbing the store right in back of me at gunpoint," she said. "I have a 10-year-old daughter, a 9-year-old grandson that goes to that store on a regular basis. [I] don't know if I want to send then there anymore because I don't want them to be in harm's way."
There was an armed holdup recently in Turtle Creek. Police aren't saying if the Pitcairn robbery is connected.
