2 Sought In Indiana Co. EZ Mart Robbery
INDIANA (KDKA) – Police are looking for two people who robbed an Indiana County convenience store.
It happened just before 10 p.m. Dec. 23 at the EZ Mart on Ben Franklin Road in Indiana.
Police say two men went into the store, one pointed a small handgun at the clerk, while the other told her to get on the ground, while he stole cigarettes and almost $350 in cash.
"Two guys walked in door and had a gun pointed at her and told her to step back," Randy Shoup, the store owner, said. "She opened the register."
A series of security cameras captured the entire hold-up. The thieves were methodical as they grabbed cash and cigarettes. The clerk could do nothing but hold up her hands.
"After that, they were all calm. They walked right out the door," said Shoup.
One is described as a white man in his 20s, about 5-feet-5-inches and 140 pounds. The other is also described as a white male in his 20s or 30s, about 6-feet tall and 230 pounds.
They were both seen fleeing south toward Ben Franklin Road.
"It ain't their money," said Shoup. "It's the stores money. We all work for a living."
Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at 724-357-1960.
