2 Injured In Crafton Home Invasion
CRAFTON (KDKA) - Crafton Police are looking for two suspects involved in a violent home invasion early Tuesday morning.
According to police, the incident happened just before 3 a.m. on Coulter Street.
Police said two men wearing bandanas covering their face forced their way into the front door of the home.
Once they got inside, the suspects attacked two men by hitting them over the head with a pipe.
"The one victim was wire tied in the bedroom. The other was left in the living room. After they stole approximately $1,500 in cash, they fled the scene," Crafton Police Chief Mark Sumpter said.
Both victims were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, where they were treated and released.
"There's some information we're working on right now that one of the actors might be known to the victims," Chief Sumpter said.
Chris Yaworski lives across the street and said she's a bit shaken up.
"We've never had anything like this happen. It's been a quiet neighborhood since I've lived here," she said.
Yaworski has lived on Coulter Street for 13 years. She says she's never seen any unusual activity across the street.
Until those two suspects are tracked down, police say everyone needs to be on the lookout.
"I would say everybody needs to be vigilant. I mean, like I said, it can happen any time to anybody anywhere. They need to be on guard of their surroundings and who's around them," Chief Sumpter said.
Police don't have a description of the suspects to release at this time.
If you have any information about the attack, you are being asked to call Crafton Police.
