2 In Custody After Shooting, Standoff In Homewood
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police have taken two people in custody following a shooting and standoff in Homewood Wednesday night.
According to police, it all started around 9 p.m. when officers were called to the 700-block of North Lang Avenue where they found a shooting victim.
The 40-year-old man, who has not been identified, was shot once in the buttocks. He was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital where he was last listed in serious condition.
Investigators say they believe he was shot during an attempted robbery.
Police say the three suspects ran into an apartment at the intersection of Bennett Street and North Lang Avenue. The SWAT team was called in and arrested two of the men.

The third managed to get away before officers arrived, police said. They are still looking for him.
