2 Arrested During West Homestead Fatal Shooting Invetsigation
WEST HOMESTEAD (KDKA) – A police investigation into the shooting death of a teenager has resulted in two people being arrested. However, the shooter is still believed to be at large.
According to police, the shooting happened near the intersection of Locust Way and Sarah Street around 2:38 p.m. Monday in West Homestead.
Montae Thompson, 14, died at a local hospital after being shot.
Three handguns were recovered at the scene and two people have been arrested.
According to police, Terron Brown, 16, was arrested and is facing a list of charges including aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and firearms violations. He was also charged as an adult.
Brown and Thompson were allegedly involved in a gunfight with at least one other unidentified person. It is not known what led to the shooting at this time.
Brandon O'Leary, 21, was in the area during the shooting and was arrested for having an illegal firearm in his possession. However, he was not involved with the shooting incident.
