130,000 Pages Of Gov't Files On Local UFO Sightings Declassified
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The truth is out there and secret government UFO files are no longer secret.
Roughly 130,000 declassified pages from Project Blue Book are available online.
They document Air Force investigations into alleged sightings.
One such incident happened on Feb. 11, 1952. The UFO was observed by two Air Force pilots of a T-11 aircraft. They described it as "brilliant yellow to orange flame color."
It flew miles south of Pittsburgh between 3-3:15 a.m.
The National UFO Reporting Center has more than 200 files for the City of Pittsburgh alone.
That's not even covering the rest of the area.
The oldest dates back to 1947, when a couple reported a brilliant blue-white object over Oakmont.
They say it come toward them, lowered and hovered for a few minutes before shooting straight up.
During the Snowmageddon blizzard in Feb. 2010, someone said power went out in a Pittsburgh neighborhood. Over the next five hours, bright red and blue, and later green lights, flashed in the sky.
In 2012, there was a sighting that lasted three hours. Someone spotted an object over Homestead, followed by Air Force jets and black helicopters.
Many reports have been debunked or dismissed by UFO experts.
But, you can check out the documents just posted online for yourself.
