12 Jurors Selected In Trial Of Accused Cop Killer
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The third day of jury selection in the trial of the man accused in the shooting deaths of three Pittsburgh Police officers continues today in Harrisburg.
Richard Poplawski is set to go on trial on June 20 in Pittsburgh.
Officers Eric Kelly, Stephen Mayhle and Paul Sciullo II all died after responding to a domestic dispute call at Poplawski's home in Stanton Heights in April of 2009.
KDKA's Harold Hayes reports that by today's lunch break, 12 jurors had been selected. Jury selection began in the case on Tuesday.
Now, six alternates must be selected.
Jury selection is being held in Dauphin County and they will be brought back to Pittsburgh for the trial.
