10th Street Bypass, Other Local Roads Closed
DOWNTOWN (KDKA) -- Flood waters have forced the 10th Street Bypass to close.
PennDOT shut down the area to traffic around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
Drivers who normally use the bypass should use Ft. Duquesne Boulevard as a detour.
Crews have wait for the flood waters to recede to clean up the road before it can reopen to traffic.
The Parkway Central or "bathtub" area is expected to take on water as well Friday morning.
The wet weather is affecting other local roads as well.
A landslide caused dirt, rocks and branches to cover one lane of Wibel Run road in Shaler. The road is now closed in both directions.
Lawrence County 911 tells KDKA-TV there are several roads closed due to flooding in Little Beaver, New Castle, Neshannock, Hickory and Mahoning.
