Rt. 30 Covered In Cherry Lime Syrup After Tractor Trailer Overturns
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Traffic is stopped along Route 30 in Westmoreland County where a tractor trailer has overturned.
It happened around 6:15 p.m. at 917 Route 30, east of Ligonier Township.
Reportedly the driver was trapped inside, but has since been removed. The vehicle was also on fire at one point.
Officials say the tractor trailer was carrying cherry lime syrup, which leaked on the road. The stuff isn't harmful, but created quite a mess.
Officials say traffic is stopped in all directions.
The driver was flown to Conemaugh Memorial Hospital.
No word on his condition.
