1 Killed In Plum Borough Car Accident
PLUM BOROUGH (KDKA) -- Police are investigating a fatal accident on Saltsburg Road.
The driver was traveling along the road sometime Thursday night or early Friday morning, when he lost control of the car.
Plum Police believe it was dark outside when the driver of the Chevy Tracker was traveling in the 7000-block of Saltsburg road.
Jack Balson, 28, was going around the curve and was in the opposing lane of traffic when police say Balson tried to over-correct and then rolled his car off the road and through a sign.
The SUV landed upright, but the force ejected him from the window and out into the parking lot.
Friday morning before 7 a.m., an employee of Bradley's Professional Auto Finish discovered Balson, who was not responsive, and then called police.
Police were able to keep a section of Saltsburg Road open during the morning rush hour commute, but had to shut it down for the Allegheny County Medical Examiner and then to re-construct the accident which could last into the early afternoon hours.
It's unclear what caused the driver to lose control.
