1 Dead In Route 28 Accident
NORTH SHORE (KDKA) – One woman was killed in an early Monday morning accident on the North Shore.
According to police, the accident happened around 1 a.m. near the Heinz plant on Route 28.
The woman became trapped in her vehicle after sliding into a utility pole.
She was not breathing when crews arrived and was rushed to the hospital, where she later died.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate.
The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Sarah Temmel.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
