1 Dead In Lincoln-Lemington Shooting
LINCOLN-LEMINGTON (KDKA) – One man was killed in a Tuesday night shooting in a Pittsburgh neighborhood.
According to police, the shooting happened in the 1500-block of Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln-Lemington around 10:46 p.m.
Zone 5 officers responded to the scene after reports of a man being shot near the New Jug Bar were received.
Investigators determined that the victim had left the bar and was shot after getting into his vehicle. No arrests have been made, but it is believed he was shot with an "assault-type" rifle.
The victim, James Johnson, 29, of Homewood, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two people heard the gunshots and attempted to perform CPR on Johnson while they called 911.
