1 Dead After Vehicle Rolls Onto Roof On I-79
SOUTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Crews were called to the scene of a deadly accident this evening on Interstate 79 in Washington County.
According to emergency officials, the crash happened just before 7 p.m. in the northbound lanes at Mile Marker 45 near the Southpointe exit.
The Washington County Coroner's Office identifies the victim as 19-year-old Dakota Houy of Carnegie
Officials say the vehicle left the road, traveled along a hillside, struck a pole and then rolled onto its roof before coming to a stop.
The coroner's office was called to the scene.
There's no word yet on what caused the crash.
Lane restrictions were put in place just after the crash as officials cleared and investigated at the scene.
