1 Dead, 3 Injured After Fight Breaks Out At Fayette Co. Bar
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – One person died and others were injured after a fight broke out at a Fayette County bar early Saturday morning.
Police say around 1:45 a.m., 21-year-old Rashaunda Fitzgerald, 25-year-old Trenton Branch, 21-year-old Montaque Wilson and 25-year-old Cornell Neal were all involved in a fight at the Goal Post Lounge in Georges Township.
Authorities have taken 22-year-old Darius Samuel into custody in connection with the incident.
Branch, Wilson and Neal all sustained non-life threatening injuries from stab wounds. However, Fitzgerald died.
Fitzgerald was attending a birthday party at the Goal Post Lounge. When she walked out of the bar, that's when the fight happened in the parking lot.
Troopers say during the fight all three men were stabbed but none as badly as Fitzgerald who died from her injuries at Uniontown Hospital.
Wilson, taken by LifeFlight to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, on Saturday night was no longer listed as a patient there.
One of the owners of the Goal Post Lounge, Cheryl Fraij said that she felt terribly for the victims.
Fraij said that out of respect, she'd shut the bar down on Saturday night.
Police haven't said what prompted the fight.
The bar's owner also said one of the men tried to jump in to save Fitzgerald.
Samuel was charged with homicide late Saturday afternoon.
He's in the Fayette County Jail under no bond.
Anyone with information is asked to call State Police in Uniontown.
