1 Dead, 1 Injured In Mercer Co. Crash
SHENANGO TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Police are investigating after one person was killed and another was injured in a Mercer County accident Saturday afternoon.
According to police, the accident happened on Interstate 80 in Shenango Township around 3:25 p.m.
A 2003 Chrysler Town & Country was traveling west in the left lane when it drifted into the right lane and hit the left rear tire of another vehicle.
As a result of the impact, the car being driven by 44-year-old Karl Magee, went down an embankment and into the median, where the vehicle began to roll and spin.
Both Magee and another passenger, 35-year-old Darren Millhoff, were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle.
Magee was pronounced dead at the scene, while Millhoff was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital with moderate injuries.
A description of the other vehicle involved was not released.
