1 Child Injured In Fayette Co. Crash To Be Released From Hospital
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Family and friends are still in shock after a deadly crash killed a mother and child in Fayette County Wednesday morning.
However, there is some good news because one of the other two children injured in the accident is going home from the hospital today.
"I don't know why God did this, but he had a reason and we are [going to] miss her - miss her so bad," Elda Worley said.
With a broken heart Worley, talked about the death of her niece, 26-year-old Angela Thomas, and the death of Thomas' 7-year-old daughter, Myah Worley.
Both died in a head-on collision Wednesday morning on Englishman Hill Road in Bullskin Township.
Police said Thomas crossed the center line and collided with a dump truck.
Thomas' other two children were also in the car.
"Angie was a wonderful person. That smile you see in that picture, that was her all the time," Elda said.
A 2-year-old boy, Zylan Thomas, and his 6-year-old sister, Sidney Worley, were taken to Children's Hospital, where family members are praying for their recovery.
"He's up there playing, he's wonderful. He's up there playing and little Sid, she's still fighting, but she's doing good. She is going to pull through this. [Zylan] gets to go home today," Elda said.
Investigators said all of the children were restrained in the car properly.
Just why Thomas crossed the center line is still unknown and the accident is still under investigation.
The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
"I want the Good Lord to bless her. I know he's already got her in his arms," Elda said.
