There's the Marx Brothers and the Smothers Brothers, the Osmonds and the Jackson Five. There's Nick and Aaron Carter. It's not uncommon for brothers to work together or follow in each other's footsteps -- especially in the entertainment world. For these and other celebrity siblings, it's all relative.
The Jonas Brothers
The hottest set of siblings this season are the singing Jonas Brothers, seen here at the White House Correspondents dinner in Washington on Saturday, April 26, 2008.
The Wilsons
From left, Texas-raised Andrew, Owen and Luke Wilson are all go-getters. Andrew is an actor, producer and director. Owen is known for comedic roles in "Wedding Crashers" and "You, Me and Dupree. He was an Oscar nominee for his screenplay, "The Royal Tannenbaums," in which the Wilson brothers all appeared. Luke's films include "The Family Stone," "Old School" and the "Legally Blonde" films. He also writes and directs.
Nick and Drew Lachey
Members of the band 98 Degrees, Nick and Drew share a close relationship and matching armband tattoos with the letter "L." Nick is probably best known for his marriage to Jessica Simpson and the reality show that followed them as "Newlyweds. Drew dazzled audiences with his fancy footwork, winning season two of "Dancing With The Stars." Nick was there to cheer him on every step of the way.
The Wayans
This family of comic entertainers includes, from left, brothers Shawn, Keenan Ivory and Marlon. Keenan Ivory created the 1990s TV sketch comedy series "In Living Color," which helped boost the careers of his siblings, which also includes Damon, and sister, Kim. All have gone on to success on the big screen and television.
Charlie Sheen & Emilio Estevez
These crazy characters are the sons of actor Martin Sheen. Charlie, who is perhaps known as much for his stints in rehab and other scandals, right, stars as the partying Charlie Harper in the CBS hit comedy "Two And A Half Men." Emilio, who uses his father's real last name, recently won acclaim for starring in, writing and directing the film "Bobby." Their brother, Ramon, and sister, Renee, are also actors.
Casey & Ben Affleck
Casey, left, and Ben, grew up in Massachusetts and have shared the big screen in "Chasing Amy," "Good Will Hunting" (for which big brother Ben won a best screenplay Oscar) and in "200 Cigarettes." Following a high-profile romance with Jennifer Lopez dubbed "Bennifer," Ben married actress Jennifer Garner. Casey, who has appeared in "Oceans 11" and its sequels, is engaged to actress Summer Phoenix. Both are new dads.
Kevin & Matt Dillon
Former teen star Matt Dillon was "discovered" by acting scouts roaming the halls of his Mamaroneck, N.Y. high school. The award-winning actor's films include "Little Darlings," "The Outsiders," "There's Something About Mary," and "Crash," for which he received a Best Supporting Oscar nod. Kevin followed in his footsteps, appearing in numerous films and TV shows, including the HB0 series "Entourage."
Rob & Chad Lowe
Rob, left, was a member of the 1980s "Brat Pack" and starred in "The Outsiders," "St. Elmo's Fire," and "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me." He was a regular on TV's "The West Wing" and now appears on "Brothers and Sisters." A familar face on TV, Chad is currently on "24" and won an Emmy for his portrayal of an AIDS sufferer on the '90s series "Life Goes On." He was married to Hilary Swank.
The Baldwins
The actor brothers from Massapequa, N.Y., Alec, left, Daniel and William (not shown) and Stephen, right, all have enjoyed cinematic success. Alec recently won an Emmy for the TV sitcom "30 Rock." That's also the address for "Saturday Night Live's" studio, a show he has hosted 13 times.
Kevin & Michael Bacon
Actor/musician Kevin Bacon and his brother, Michael, formed the Bacon Brothers band in 1995, although, according to their Web site, they've been writing songs and playing music together since they were kids. Kevin, is known for roles in "Footloose," "Animal House," and "Apollo 13." He's also the subject of a theory that by six or less degrees of separation, every actor is connected to him.
Robin and Barry Gibb
The Brothers Gibb, or Bee Gees, are a multiple Grammy Award-winning trio and one the most successful music acts of all time. Robin, Barry and Maurice, who died in 2003, had hits such as "Stayin Alive," "Jive Talkin," and "How Deep Is Your Love." Their younger brother, Andy, was not only a singing sensation in his own right, but a teen heartthrob before his death at age 30.
Mark & Donnie Walhberg
Donnie, a member of the 1980s boy band New Kids on the Block, caught the acting bug and has appeared in numerous film and TV roles, including the HBO miniseries "Band of Brothers." Mark followed in his footsteps as Marky Mark of the Marky Mark & the Funky Bunch, and was a Calvin Klein underwear model. His films include "The Perfect Storm," "The Departed," for which he received an Oscar nod, and the upcoming "Shooter."
