World Series 2016: Chicago Cubs' victory parade
Chicago enjoyed a jubilant victory party for long-suffering baseball fans, whose Cubs hadn’t won a World Series title in more than a century, with a parade through downtown on Friday, November 4, 2016.
Estimates of crowd size were as high as five million in all - more than the city’s total population.

Thousands of people lined Chicago’s Magnificent Mile to watch the Chicago Cubs celebrate winning the team’s first World Series in 108 years during a victory parade in Chicago, Illinois, U.S., November 4, 2016.
The city also dyed the Chicago River a bright shade of blue to match the Cubs’ colors, repurposing a decades-long tradition of dying the river green on St. Patrick’s Day.

Wrigley Field
Friday was already a scheduled day off for Chicago Public Schools, so truancy was not a factor in today’s crowd size.
Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner declared Friday to be “World Champion Chicago Cubs Day” statewide.
