Bonham-Carter is Tim Burton's full-time leading lady. The two have been romantically involved since they met working on 2001's "Planet of the Apes" - which Burton directed and she starred in - and they have two children together. British comedian Matt Lucas, seen here in the Comedy Central series "Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire," has not one, but two roles in "Alice in Wonderland" - he plays both Tweedledee and Tweedledumb. Wasikowska, seen here in her role on the HBO series "In Treatment," plays the title character, Alice. According to USA today, Tim Burton has said about the actress, "We met a lot of people, but she just had that certain kind of emotional toughness, standing her ground in a way that makes her kind of an older person with a younger person's mentality."
