When murder hits home: Homicide in the family

Sixteen-year-old twins, Tasmiyah and Jasmiyah Whitehouse are charged in the January 2010 murder of their mother in Conyers, Ga.

Donald Rudolph, 18, is accused of murdering his mother, sister and mother's boyfriend with a knife and a hammer in their Weymouth, Mass. home in November 2011.

Shelby Dasher, 20, has pleaded not guilty in the death of her one-year-old son Tyler. Dasher initially told police someone had taken her son while she was sleeping. The child's body was found November 15, 2011, near a cemetery by their suburban St. Louis home.

Chicago policewoman Hester Scott was allegedly murdered Nov. 4, 2011, by her 15-year-old grandson, Keshawn Perkins. According to police, Perkins killed Scott after she found him skipping school.

Two-year-old DeMarcus Jackson was allegedly beaten to death by his father on Oct. 21, 2011 in Cincinnati.

Monica McCarrick, 28, was charged with murder after she allegedly stabbed her 3-year-old twin daughters and herself, then set the family's Fairfield, Calif., apartment on fire in October 2010. The children were killed and McCarrick survived.

Tyler Hadley, 17, is charged with murdering his parents, Mary Jo and Blake Hadley on July 16, 2011 in Port St. Lucie, Fla. Hadley allegedly beat them to death with a hammer and then threw a party for his friends.

John Granat, 17, is charged with beating and stabbing his parents to death in their suburban Illinois home on Sept. 10, 2011. Three of the teen's friends have also been charged with first-degree murder for allegedly helping Granat kill his parents.
