ONE, cofounded by Bono, aims to raise public awareness to end extreme poverty and preventable disease.
As a protest, it certainly gets attention.

Shrine to the Virgin of el Rocio

Every spring hundreds of thousands of devotees converge at a shrine to pay homage to the Virgin del Rocio during an annual pilgrimage which combines religious fervor and festive color.
In the previous photo, pilgrims carry a girl so she can touch the virgin. Wonder if they asked if she wanted to be held aloft so precariously.
What am I seeing?
Definitely ghost-like and eery. Don't know what the black and white portraits are about.

In the previous photo, performers dressed as ghosts stand in front of a granite wall, much like the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C., carved with nearly 30,000 names of those lost through the terrible political violence from 1980-1992. The photos are of some of the disappeared and killed.
What am I seeing?
Some of these kids seem as serious as the adults here and very official looking. What are they up to?

Close to 50 participants strutted down the busy shopping street during the festival organized by the Japanese embassy. The festival includes performances and discussions on Zentai from May 22 to from June 5. Makes you want to know more, no?
