Police in Washington State say a woman, identified by neighbors as Tennyson Salopek Jacobson, left, fatally stabbed a home intruder after the intruder got into an altercation with her husband, Kyle Jacobson, right, CBS affiliate KIRO reports.
Deputies said they received the 911 call reporting a home invasion around 1:30 a.m. May 13, 2013. The intruder was later confirmed dead at the scene.
According to the station, authorities said they were called to the same couple's home the day before when Tennyson Jacobson, who was there with her infant daughter and mother, called 911 after an intruder came into the house through an unlocked rear door, assaulted her and robbed her.
During that incident, the attacker fled. Police conducted a search for the suspect but were unable to locate the intruder.
KIRO reports detectives believe the dead intruder is the same man who entered the house and robbed Tennyson Jacobson on the day prior.
Some neighbors reportedly think the intruder may have come from a homeless camp in a nearby wooded area.
