The first International Day of Yoga
Millions of yoga enthusiasts across the world bent and twisted their bodies in complex postures Sunday, June 21, 2015, to mark the International Day of Yoga.
The U.N. declared June 21 as the first International Day of Yoga, recognizing "the holistic benefits of this timeless practice and its inherent compatibility with the principles and values of the United Nations." The day was marked by events in 192 countries.
