Bette Midler caused a bit of a stir when she called Ariana Grande's sexy look "ridiculous" and "silly beyond belief" in an interview with The Telegraph.

"It's always surprising to see someone like Ariana Grande with that silly high voice, a very wholesome voice, slithering around on a couch, looking so ridiculous," she said.

Grande took the comments in stride, thought, and tweeted, "Bette was always a feminist who stood for women being able to do whatever the F they wanted without judgement! Not sure where that Bette went but I want that sexy mermaid back!!! always a fan no matter what my love."

Snoop Dogg and Iggy Azalea

Rappers Snoop Dogg and Iggy Azalea appeared to be at odds after Snoop posted a photo of a man on Instagram with the caption: Iggy Azalea No Makeup." The Australian rapper fired back with series of tweets that she later deleted. Snoop then posted a screen grab featuring a story headline of their supposed feud that claimed Azalea was "fuming mad." She later took to Twitter to say she wasn't "fuming mad" at anyone. For the record, we think Azalea looks just fine without makeup.

Kanye West and Jimmy Kimmel

A skit poking fun at Kanye West on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" provoked an irate call from the rapper and flurry of tweets rallying against Kimmel in fall 2013. The late-night TV host said he somehow found himself in a "rap feud." And despite speculation that it was all staged, during West's Oct. 9, 2013 visit to the show, both stars insisted it was not a publicity stunt. By the end of the segment, they appeared to make nice, with Kimmel saying he felt bad about the sketch.

Justin Bieber and Seth Rogen

Actor Seth Rogen is no fan of pop star Justin Bieber.

During an appearance on "The Howard Stern Show" on May 5, 2014, Rogen said that he had not been impressed by his past meetings with the Biebs, who seem "nonplussed" by their encounters.

"Seth Rogan [sic] sorry I didnt bow down when I asked 2 meet u was probably a bit shy," Bieber retorted in a Twitter post on May 8, 2014.

Sinead O'Connor and Miley Cyrus

Sinead O'Connor and Miley Cyrus got into a war of words after the Irish singer posted an open letter to Cyrus on Oct. 3, 2013, warning her not to "obscure your talent by allowing yourself to be pimped, whether it's the music business or yourself doing the pimping." The advice didn't go down well -- Cyrus responded on Twitter by mentioning O'Connor's struggles with bipolar disorder and comparing her to troubled star Amanda Bynes. O'Connor responded with another open letter the next day, in which she denounced Cyrus for mocking mental illness. Cyrus again replied via Twitter, writing, "If youd like to meet up and talk lemme know in your next letter. :)"

Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis

Tension started to grow in August 2013 between Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis after Stallone tweeted that Willis wouldn't be appearing in "Expendables 3" and that Harrison Ford has been tapped to join the film instead. But he took it a step further with the follow-up tweet, which called Willis "greedy" and "lazy." Sounds like bad action-star brawl just waiting to happen.

Madonna and Elton John

The Material Girl and the Rocket Man, once friends, have had a long-standing feud going back at least 10 years and involving competition for music prizes, charges of lip-synching, spurned party invitations and returned Christmas cards, among other things.

As recently as August of 2012, Elton John said Madonna's "career is over" and called the 53-year-old singer a "fairground stripper."

Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj

Reports of a feud starting brewing between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj as soon as they were announced as judges on "American Idol" in September 2012. At the time, Carey said it was too soon for a fight, but a couple of weeks later a video surfaced that proved otherwise.

The blurry web clip, released by TMZ, displayed what appeared to be an argument between Minaj and Carey during an audition taping in Charlotte, N.C. A couple of days later, Barbara Walters said Mariah Carey told her that she beefed up security after Minaj threatened to shoot her.

The Jacksons

The Jackson family feud played out on a public stage in 2012. The family argued over the late Michael Jackson's estate, and his children took to Twitter, accusing family members of "kidnapping" their guardian, grandmother Katherine Jackson, for financial reasons.

Madonna & Lady Gaga

Madonna and Lady Gaga were once friends and collaborators (the pair appeared in a sketch on "Saturday Night Live") but things got weird when Gaga released the song "Born This Way" in 2011. Comparisons between Gaga's new track and Madonna's 1989 single "Express Yourself" were made, and when asked about the Lady Gaga and the similarities, Madonna said the song "sounded familiar," calling it "reductive."

Paris & Zeta

Diamond heiress Zeta Graff claimed that Paris Hilton planted an unflattering item in the New York Post in 2005. According to the story, Graff went "berserk" in a London nightclub and tried to strangle Hilton and steal her diamond necklace. Graff sued Hilton for $10 million, but the two settled before it went to trial. Graff dated Paris Latsis before he was engaged to Hilton.

Paris & Lindsay

Although they, too, appear to be friends again, the Hilton-Lohan feud has many facets. In May, Hilton friend Brandon Davis launched a verbal assault on Lohan. Hilton also previously confronted Lohan at a New York club because Lohan had gone on a few dates with her ex-boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos.

Paris & Nicole

Best friends since childhood, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie have never revealed the exact cause of their falling out in 2005. But the stars of the reality series "The Simple Life," appear to be friends again and agreed to reunite in a fifth season of the show as camp counselors. However, production was riddled with complications, including the legal woes of both gals.

The Donald & Martha

The Donald has had his share of feuds -- with his ex-wives Ivana and Marla Maples and also with his friend, Martha Stewart. The two were all smiles in August 2005 when their were promoting their "Apprentice" shows. But Martha's version was a bust, and Trump blamed his sagging ratings on her show.

The Spellings

Tori, right, and her parents, Aaron and Candy Spelling, left, reportedly were on the outs after Tori left her first husband Charlie Shanian for married actor Dean Dermott. Tori later starred in a TV parody of her family's lavish lifestyle called "So NoTORIous." Tori reconciled with her TV mogul father just before his June 2006 death. The birth of Tori's son on March 13, 2007, apparently has helped mend fences with mom.

Arnold & Rush

In a short-lived rift, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger made nice with commentator Rush Limbaugh, calling in to his radio program a day after he dismissed the conservative host as "irrelevant." Limbaugh says Schwarzenegger is a Democrat in GOP clothing. The governornator said the views of his conservative critics, including Limbaugh, are "irrelevant" to his work in California.

Rosie & The Donald

The fight between Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell first broke out in December 2006 after Trump announced that Miss USA, Tara Conner, would keep her title, which had been in jeopardy because of substance abuse. Since then they've traded headline making barbs over each other's appearance and O'Donnell's struggle with depression.

Tom & Brooke

Actors Tom Cruise and Brooke Shields had a public beef after Cruise, echoing the position of Scientology, criticized Shields for taking antidepressants after the birth of her first daughter. Shields dismissed the remarks as a "ridiculous rant" and "a disservice to mothers everywhere." Shields accepted his apology and an invitation to his wedding in Rome.

Tyra & Naomi

A feud between supermodels Tyra Banks, left, and Naomi Campbell that went on for more than a decade reportedly stemmed from battles of being the No. 1 black supermodel in the industry. As you can see, the beauties, shown on March 2, 2007, have since made up.

Davis & Crawford

While some feuds go on for years and others are resolved, some people die hating each other. That was the case in the feud between actresses Bette Davis, left, and Joan Crawford. In the 1962 film "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane," they so-starred as aging Hollywood sisters with thoughts of revenge and jealousy against each other. Although the movie gave both real-life aging actresses a career boost, they hated each other.

B.I.G. & Tupac

It is debated that a feud between rappers Tupac Amaru Shakur, right, and Christopher "Notorious B.I.G." Wallace, over lyrics in a song written by Shakur, ultimately led to their deaths. Shakur, 25, was gunned down in a drive-by shooting in L.A. on Sept. 13, 1996, with speculation that Wallace was involved. Six months later, Wallace was killed in the same manner in Las Vegas.
