Teen Army recruit slain in murder-suicide

The Army said 17-year-old Michelle Miller was shot and killed by a military recruiter in what police are calling a murder-suicide. Staff Sgt. Adam Arndt, 31, was found dead of a gunshot wound on April 8, 2013 in his Maryland apartment. Police also found Michelle's body in his apartment and believe that Arndt fatally shot the high school senior before killing himself. Michelle signed up to enter the Army Reserves after graduating from Rockville High School in spring 2013.
